Meditation with Brahma Kumaris

There are many external crises. It is not always possible to do something about that. But the crises you create in your own mind – at least put a stop to that, and claim back your peace. – Dadi Janki

Brahma Kumaris South Africa is part of this worldwide spiritual movement, dedicated to personal transformation and world renewal by helping individuals shift their perspective from material to spiritual. It supports the cultivation of a collective consciousness of peace and of the individual dignity of each soul – regardless of race, religion, culture, education, economic or social standing.

The most important journey you can take is the journey within, to the truth of who you really are. This is the place, just beyond everyday consciousness, where spiritual empowerment begins. This is where you develop the power to choose creative thinking, rather than automated thinking … where you learn to respond, rather than react … where peace, love and harmony, rather than stress, conflict and chaos originate.

Meditation enables you to embark on this journey inwards. Meditation is time taken for quiet reflection and silence, away from the hustle and bustle of daily living. Meditation is also pausing for a moment, in the midst of chaos and commotion, to go inwards, in silence, to a silent place of centred being. The Brahma Kumaris teach a specific form of meditation that is called Raja Yoga Meditation. Raja Yoga meditation facilitates the inward journey in an efficient and effective way, with plenty of practical actions to promote inner peace and spiritual growth. It will help you rediscover and use positive qualities already latent within you.

You will discover an inner peace and inner power that makes it possible for you to respond to life from a place of clarity and self-control, rather than from a place of reactivity. It is a call to consciousness that will enable you to change anything about yourself that you would like to change. And when we change, the world changes.

There are many external crises. It is not always possible to do something about that. But the crises you create in your own mind – at least put a stop to that, and claim back your peace. – Dadi Janki
