Traditionally, dessert cheeses, White Rock now welcomes a lineup of new savoury flavours and boasts a new easy-to-slice log shape.
New look, same taste that rocks
White Rock cheese has always been a classic on South African cheese boards. This crowd-pleasing essential, due to the natural fruit essences completing the cheese flavour, now comes in a log shape, perfect for easy slicing.
Charles Back, a third-generation family owner of Fairview, explains, “As a family business, we’re always exploring ways to delight our customers. Introducing savoury flavours brings something fresh to the White Rock range, while staying true to what people already enjoy about it.”
A new era of deliciousness
The introduction of savoury flavours opens a whole new world of pairing potential, from grilled vegetables and sharing boards to snacking moments and gourmet sandwiches. The newcomers include White Rock with Red Onion, made with onion flakes for subtle umami depth, and White Rock with Garlic and Rosemary, which adds aromatic depth.
“These new savoury flavours take the range in a different, yet complementary direction,” says Charles. “They are versatile, crowd pleasing and perfect for anyone who prefers something savoury over sweet.”
Alongside the new savoury flavours, Fairview is also celebrating the return of a beloved classic- White Rock with Sweet and Tangy Apricot. Previously, a fan favourite, the apricot flavour has been reintroduced due to overwhelming demand. The tangy apricots and gentle tang of the cheese complement the natural sweetness of the apricots, creating a delightful blend of fruity and cheesy flavours that loyal White Rock fans have been craving.

The White Rock cheese range is now available in its new log shape, and new flavour lines are already on shelves at the Fairview farm shop and in select retailers around the country. The full range now includes:
