Coming up with ideas to spoil dad – or a father figure – can be tough, but what could be better than a family day out among wild animals complete with a delicious buffet lunch? Fish Eagle Café at Crocworld Conservation Centre in Scottburgh has got everything sorted for this year’s Father’s Day feast – with a sweet treat included and free entry to the centre for dads who are accompanied by their kids. This three-course buffet lunch serves a range of great starters such as homemade biltong pâté, a creamy mussel & white wine pot, and great salads.
Tuck into a main course of roast beef, spicy Malay mutton curry, or BBQ flame-grilled chicken fillets with great sides. Finish with a baked malva pudding, ice cream, English toffee or Bar One sauce and a tropical fruit salad.
All this for just R245 per person, or R105 per child U10. Before or after the buffet which runs from 11.30am to 3pm, dads can enjoy a walk around Crocworld meeting famous Nile crocs Henry and Colgate, exciting snakes, endangered animals, and more than 200 bird species. Book your spots early to spoil dad!
